Struthers, ohio (wkbn) – there will soon be a new boat launch along the mahoning river in struthers. on thursday, struthers mayor catherine cercone miller announced that the launch will be built. Not all ponds need boat ramps. you can build a simple sloped gravel ramp for occasional use or a concrete ramp for heavier traffic. concrete ramps should have a 12-15% slope and extend far enough. The need to pull a small boat up a 45 degree slope prompted this project. it was the last project in a series of four that included a dock, walk way, deck and terrace steps up to the rear patio..
